The Origins of DanEcca

I was trying to come up with a funny/witty name for our Blog, and wanted to do something that was a combination of the two of us. Dan-and-Rebecca was already taken, Dan-and-Rebecca-Geppert was just too premature, and anything more made my head spin.

BUT THEN I remembered a nick-name bestowed on our collective selves by Dan's favorite younger brother. His witty way of combining our two names, also just happened to be reminiscent of a hot female race-car driving.

Alas, DanEcca was born.

We're Officially On-line!!!

Between all the preparing and planning lately, I learned about posting a personal website that could be used by friends & family to catch up on our lives.

Seeing as we're in the midst of nuptial stuff, I first visited theknot.com to look into posting our site there. It's free, however the site is so bare-bones, you are limited as to what you can post, and they don't even accept pictures unless you are willing to pay for the service.

I was introduced to MySpace a few years back, but my reason for even being on there got a little lost in all the advertisements and social networking.

Good friends (Mark and Tamara Johnson shout-out) have a wonderful family blog that really serves its purpose, and we decided to go this route. Besides wedding planning, we can also use this forum to chronicle different goings-on in our lives!
